Bland Shire Council

The Bland Shire is a vibrant and progressive community located on the northern fringes of the Riverina region of New South Wales. The Shire’s major centre of West Wyalong is located on the junction of the Newell and Mid Western Highways and within a 160 kilometre radius of Wagga Wagga, Griffith, Forbes, Parkes and Cowra and within 300 kilometres of Canberra.

West Wyalong itself has no natural rivers or creeks, however the stormwater discharges overland into the natural catchment system at the lower end of the Bland Creek catchment. This catchment extends into the neighbouring Temora, Weddin and Young Shire Council LGAs.
