Audit of Flood Levees for New South Wales - Town of Warren

The town of Warren on the Lower Macquarie River in the state of New South Wales has a population of about 3,500 and is protected from flooding by a system of levees. Surrounding the southern section of the town is a 6km long levee and surrounding the northern side a 3km levee

The Audit is designed to appraise the flood security and structural adequacy of the levee system at Warren. This report presents the results of the audit and consists of a visual appraisal of the levee and materials, assessment of the water retention capacity of the levee, research of flood records and appraisal of the cost of corrective action and extent of such action.
