Aboriginal Resources Planning Study for the Wakool Shire Council

"In this report the results of a study of the Aboriginal sites in the Wakool Shire are presented. The study was commissioned by the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service and was funded by the National Estates Grants Program.

The overall aim of the study was to determine the nature, distribution and significance of Aboriginal sites in the Shire of Wakool. This included -

  • the identification of areas of known or potential archaeological and/or Aboriginal significance; and
  • advice to the Shire Council on appropriate planning and management requirements to protect the known and potential Aboriginal site resource in the area. "
