Flood Mitigation Options - Adelaide Street Area, Tumbi Umbi

A significant rainfall event occurred in the Tumbi Umbi Creek catchment over the night of 1 and 2 April 1999. Two houses were flooded above flood level. The flooding of the two houses was unexpected on the basis of the rainfall recorded. Paterson Consultants Pty Ltd undertook an initial investigation of the event and the results of the investigations are covered by their report "April 1999 Flood, Killarney Vale and Tumbi Umbi" dated May 1999. The reported flood problems occurred along the Killarney Vale tributary. In June 1999, Wyong Council requested a variety of mitigation measures for the Killarney Vale tributary, additional to those proposed in the May 1999 report. This report covers the investigation of additional measures.
