Tooleybuc Floodplain Risk Management Study and Plan

The Tooleybuc Floodplain Risk Management Study and Plan was commissioned as part of a combined project for the three Murray River townships of Tooleybuc, Barham and Murray Downs, all located within the previous Wakool Shire area. The study has been carried out in accordance with the NSW Government’s Floodplain Development Manual (2005). The Tooleybuc Floodplain Risk Management Study and Plan (FRMS&P) project has been undertaken to provide the Murray River Council and other stakeholders with a Floodplain Risk Management Plan which clearly defines flooding risks at Tooleybuc and identifies preferred mitigation options for implementation to reduce future flood risks and associated damages. The Tooleybuc FRMP will assist the Murray River Council and other government agencies to take into account flooding risks when making appropriate decisions in relation to future land use planning and development within the FRMP area.
