Pambula River - Data Assessment Study

Pambula River is a coastal river in the northern section of the Towamba River Valley on the far South Coast of NSW. Along with the Yowaka River, both drain into Pambula Lake.

Bega Valley Shire Council has requested consideration be given to the carrying out of a Flood Study of the Pambula River catchment due to recent development pressures in the area.

This report has been prepared by the South Coast Regional Office of the Public Works Department and represents the first phase of the flood study investigation. This involves the collection and assessment of all available data on flood heights, rainfall, streamflow, tides, survey and offshore wave heights. The data has been arranged by subject, with comments and conclusions included where appropriate.
