Macquarie River - Floodplain Management Study - Progress Report - Phase B3

"In December 2003, SKM issued a report titled, Progress Report Phase B2. This report, titled, ''Progress Report B3, August 2004 "" covers work undertaken since issue of the December 2003 report.

The main areas of work were:

  • Discussion and development of methodology for work to complete Phase B3 of the Floodplain Management Study,
  • Review and identification of all known hot spots,
  • Review of accuracy of Guideline locations,
  • Categorise Hot Spots into degree of severity with Table of hot spots and their significance,
  • Review need for any further widening or changes to the floodways,
  • Add proposed changes to the Floodway boundaries to accommodate Environmentally Important Areas (EIAs),
  • Preparation of this Progress Report Phase B3,
  • Preparation and presentation to the Floodplain Management Committee (FMC) Meeting in Warren on 27 July 2004, including agenda, copies of the overheads presented and minutes of the meeting (prepared by DIPNR), Appendix A. "
