This flood study has been undertaken to provide the Jerilderie Shire Council and other stakeholders with an up to date understanding of riverine flooding conditions at Jerilderie (flooding due to Billabong Creek and Wangamong Creek). This will assist council and other government agencies to make appropriate decisions in relation to future land use planning and also provide the basis from which to proceed with a floodplain management study to mitigate flood risks.
