Illawarra Railway Line Culvert Amplification: Helensburgh to Thirroul - Hydraulic Assessment of Stage 1

This report presents the hydrologic and hydraulic investigations in Stage 1 of an Environmental Impact statement for amplification of culverts on the Illawarra Railway Line between Helensburgh and Thirroul. This stage covers all culverts south of Wombarra Station (64.300km) 1 and north of Park Avenue, Austinmer (68.200km) with the exception of culverts upgraded as part of the restoration of the Coledale slip. The stage also covers three culverts north of Wombarra, which were upgradiad during the Christmas 1989 shutdown but are presently baffled.
