Sinclair Knight Merz was commissioned by Forbes Shire Council to carry out a review of flood levels contained in the Floodplain Management Report and Plan, 1994. This study details the methodology used for the study and the results of the modelling in terms of flood levels and hazard categories. Key elements of this study include:

• Development of a completely restructured computer flood model,
• An extensive hydrological review,
• Compilation of additional survey,
• Flood levels estimates,
• Assessment of the implications of the recently released Floodplain Management Manual (2001),
• Flood hazard categorisations.
