This report has been prepared by Lawson and Treloar for Wollongong City Council to detail floodplain management options for American Creek between Cordeaux Road and Suttor Place, Figtree. Whilst this report is confined to this location, consideration of the impacts of these options has been incorporated in the assessments undertaken across the entire floodplain.

This report has been prepared as a precursor to the publication of the Allans Creek Floodplain Risk Management Study, also prepared by Lawson and Treloar for Wollongong City Council. The Allans Creek Floodplain Risk Management Study is the fourth stage of the management process for the Allans Creek Floodplain.

This report considers in detail only flood modification options for the area. Proposed property modification and emergency response modifications are not presented and reference should instead be made to the Allans Creek Floodplain Risk Management Study for further details.
