Albury City - Flooding & Flood Mitigation Studies

"By letter of 5th April 1983 the Water Resources Commission engaged Gutteridge, Ilaskins & Davey to prepare a flood inundation map for the City of Albury.

Albury is potentially at risk of flooding from two sources; from the River Murray south of the City, and from Bungambrawatha Creek which flows through the centre of the City draining a catchment area of 41 km2.

Both sources present considerable potential for urban flood damage and it was the purpose of this Study to delineate the extent of flooding within the City of Albury during the 5% (1 in 20 year) and 1% (1 in 100 year) flood events in each watercourse

This Report, which includes material published previously during the Study in Progress Reports, describes the methods adopted and analyses carried out during the preparation of the flood plain map."
