Soredo Pty Ltd has proposed that Part Lots 5 and 6 DP717741 Princes Highway, Yallah be developed for tourist purposes inclusive of tourist related light industries.

This report has been commissioned to accompany a Development Application for this proposal.

The principle objectives of this study are:

1. To assess the impact of flooding in the Yallah area on the development of the subject land at Part Lots 5 and 6 DP717741 Princes Highway, Yallah.
2. To assess the impact of development, of this site, on flooding of both the subject site and adjoining lands.
3. To specifically assess the extent of compliance of the proposed development with the N.S.W. State Government "Flood Plain Development Manual".
4. To provide recommendations, where practicable, covering flood mitigation works and development controls considered relevant to the proposed development.

In order to properly consider the above objectives, the following key data is required.

1. The peak discharge of the "designated flood event" flowing in Macquarie Rivulet.
2. The hydraulic characteristics of the Flood Discharge in Macquarie Rivulet and the major factors affecting flood levels in the vicinity of Macquarie Rivulet.
3. The extent and depth of flooding in the study area in the "designated flood event" under present conditions.

This report summarises work undertaken in respect to the gathering/modelling of this data and its application to the study objectives.
